Ridgeview Medical Center is an independent, nonprofit, regional health care system serving the southwest metro region of the Twin Cities.  Its network includes three hospitals—located in Waconia,  Arlington and Le Sueura multitude of primary and specialty care clinics, emergency services and specialty programs, a nursing home, independent living apartments  and Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaskaa freestanding 24/7 emergency and urgent care facility with multispecialty clinics and services.


Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for performing human resources related duties at the professional level and will carry out responsibilities in the following areas but not limited to:  recruitment/selection, leave of absence, employee relations, training, development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Job Functions

  1. Develops and maintains effective work relationships with leadership staff.
  2. Advises and serves as a liaison to assist leadership in the application and interpretation of HR policies, legal compliance, performance management and staffing.
  3. Provides consultation and partners in the staffing process to include screening, skills assessment and selection, develops and offers tools and guidance to hiring managers as appropriate.
  4. Participates as project lead or team participant in key HR initiatives in talent development, staffing, performance management and leave of absence.
  5. Conducts exit interviews, identifying action needed based on analysis of information.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications

  • Four year degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' experience in multiple HR disciplines or management

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Basic understanding of employment law
  • Ability to apply business/HR processes and technologies
  • Knowledge of benefits to answer candidate questions during sourcing and on-boarding activities
  • Strong process facilitation and problem solving skills
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately challenge and influence leaders as necessary to ensure fair and appropriate treatment and to ensure integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR or SPHR
  • Previous healthcare experience
