President-Elect

BASIC FUNCTION

The President-Elect shall, in the absence of or because of the incapacity of the President, perform all duties and assume all responsibilities of the President.  He/she will assist the President as assigned, and will oversee the work of his/her assigned committees.  The President Elect is responsible for the Education Liaison, Conference Planning Committee, and additional duties as delegated by the President or Board of Directors.  During the year as President-Elect, prepares to serve as President in the following year.  The President Elect is a voting board member of the Board of Directors.

 

DUTIES OF THE PRESIDENT-ELECT

  1. In the absence of the President, presides at general membership and executive committee meetings.
  2. Supports and participates in HHRAM, Inc. activities.
  3. Attends ASHHRA Leadership Conference (either in role of President or President-elect).  May attend annual ASHHRA conference.  Promotes ASHHRA activities to HHRAM, Inc. members.
  4. Recognizes contributions of outgoing Board members at the end of their terms, generally at the fall conference.
  5. Oversees functions and/or committees as assigned: Fall Conference planning, Spring Conference planning and Education activities.
  6. Contributes articles and information for newsletters.
  7. Is expected to attend majority of executive committee meetings.

 

TERM OF OFFICE

The term of President-Elect is one year.  The President-Elect shall succeed to the Presidency after his/her one-year term, and then to Past President in the following year.  The President-Elect shall be elected after the fall conference for the following year.

 

REQUIREMENTS

The President-Elect shall be a member of HHRAM Inc.  He/she shall also be a member of ASHHRA.
